Dr. Rao’s research interests revolve around new therapies for ischemic heart disease, including PCI and ST-elevation myocardial infarction. He also is interested in bleeding and blood transfusion issues as they apply to antithrombotic therapy, and quality improvement for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome and PCI. His research is through prospective randomized clinical trials as well as involvement in large multicenter registries.
